These are the main methods taught
1. Qigong
Duration: 1-2 days
This Qigong practice is best done in the morning at dawn which is the time when Yin and Yang are even in strength in its diurnal cycle.
This practice, gentle yet deep, helps to harmonise with the surroundings and to balance the inner Yin and Yang, and the Five Phases of the organism. While morning is the best time for this practice, immeasurable benefits also stem from practicing it at other times of the day.
It is a great way to cleanse the mind, charge with the rising yang energy of the sun, refresh, regulate the body, stabilise energy, and set for the day.
2. Haha Gong
This practice can be taught on its own or together with other practices.
Haha Gong, also called rhythmic detoxifying exercise, is a simple yet very effective method which stimulates all the systems of the body.
Through vibration generated by tapping on multiple acupoints of the body, while simultaneously emitting sound and stomping with two feet on the ground, it moves the blood, qi, lymph, and other liquids of the body, stimulates the lungs, strengthens to whole organism, as well as refreshes and activates.
3. Three Vertebra Seven Form
Duration: 1 day
Three Vertebra Seven Form practice helps to strengthen the spine and to make it more supple. It can support the process of correcting spine related posture deficiencies. It also strengthens the joins, tendons, and sinews.
The Three Vertebra Seven Form can be supported by the Bone Marrow Washing Practice, which in addition to supporting the spine health, helps to strengthen and revitalise the bone morrow.
4. Yang Sheng Gong (Life Nourishing Practice)
Duration: 2-5 days
Life Nourishing Practice consists of 3 sets representing the three realms of Heaven, Earth, and Man. Each set is made up of 9 moves.
The first set gently opens joints, stretches tendons and ligaments, harmonises fascia, as well as dredges and activates meridians.
The second set does the actions of the first set in a more dynamic manner. It also vigorously generates energy and distributes it throughout the whole body, reaching all the peripheries. It strengthens the lungs and the whole organism.
The third set mainly consists of standing meditation postures. It helps to release tension and stabilise the energy generated throughout the whole practice.
5. Heavenly Horse Taiji (Tai Chi 33)
Duration: minimum 5 days
The Heavenly Horse 33 postures form was created by my teacher Li Xing De Shifu at the White Horse Mountain in Wudang. It is a form from the mountains and is characterised by low postures, elongated and fuller moves, and compact palm position.
It can be practised as a martial art or strictly for health and longevity purposes. It improves mental and physical balance, builds core strength and flexibility, helps with chronic pain management, and supports the cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, and other systems of the body. It also helps to reduce stress and anxiety, sharpen cognitive function, and improve mood and wellbeing.
6. Supreme Harmony Fist 24 (Tai He Quan)
Duration: minimum 4 days
Tai He Quan is a form similar to Taiji. It is a little easier and shorter. It allows similar health benefits to those of the Heavenly Horse 33 form.
7. Therapies: cupping, moxibustion, fire healing, acupressure, phytotherapy, and food therapy
Duration: each therapy half to a day
These methods are simple ways to improve wellbeing. Through their specific actions they support the body's inherent self-healing mechanisms. Some of these methods regulate from the outside and some from the inside. They can be used at home with no or basic equipment.
